A magic family camp. Jeanette, Anthony, Steve, Gina & Connor were there for the week. Mike & James from Tues till close on Sunday, with Diana joining in from Thursday.

Mike & James tried fishing from kayaks and shore with no success. They also played in the surf with their kayaks for the first time ... and true to form Mike swam a few times.

Tons of wildlife, we were not so keen on the ticks that seemed very attracted to Mike, but the palmate newt found snuggled in a camp chair in the cook tent was in danger of being adopted ... but it was carefully released back to the wild.

Fireworks Saturday night fantastic, we watched from the top of a dune near our camp, see the pics.

Most nights it rained, Saturday night no exception and quite windy too ... especially judging by the broken & discarded tents we saw on our departure.

Many thanks to Jeanette & family for the invite, expertise in keeping our tents safe, brilliant company  and all the tea.
